Seriously, like I need another reason to drink! However, for the rest of you who moonlight as professional drinkers please inform your supervisors that you will be late for work tomorrow, because it is NATIONAL DAIQUIRI DAY!
My recommended glass: Minumum of 12 if you want to take this seriously!

The sun isn't setting in Alaska which means that my drinking needs to begin sooner rather than later and what better way to experience Anchorage than by attending their local Farmer's Market (there's one where you live so peel yourself off the floor, wipe your drool and wander over)!
There's never been a better time to make summer cocktails with fresh produce locally grown! I'm all about drinking locally! So pick yourself up some peaches, Cointreau and prosecco and let the Saturday Libation's begin!
Skin, Slice, puree two pounds of peaches. I like White Peaches the best! Thin the peach puree by adding a glug of Cointreau. Chilled prosecco and glasses to assemble. Use 2/3 prosecco and 1/3 peach puree per glass. No ice needed!
My recommended glass: As many as possible!

Baltimore was HOT! Holy 100+ degree wave. Despite the heat we hit up some cool spots while we were there. Downtown Baltimore brings it. You can walk around Fells Point and stumble into The Horse You Rode In On, one of the oldest saloons in the country, and you won't be disappointed. After all those shots of whiskey I am a fan for life! Flying Dog Brewery was GREAT! What a cool establishment. You will enjoy their whole story when the show airs. Loved the Raging Bitch and the Horny Dog and all the rest! We also had some apothecary cocktails at the Museum Bar. What a treat! Go see Perez and let him heal you with his wondrous creations.
All and all, I'm digging Baltimore. WAtch the episode to see all the places we hit and all the craziness that followed!
Cheers:)
Just an update. More to follow...

This week's 'Beer of the Week' is Dragon's Milk Oak Barrel Ale from New Holland Brewery, located in Holland, MI.
The term Dragon’s Milk comes from the 17th century and is used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King.
Brew master John Haggerty says that they did not set out to make a high percentage dark stout, they set out to make an oak barrel-aged beer that would retain the "sweetness and flavors from the bourbon barrel process". New Holland Brewing brings up the bourbon barrels from Kentucky as well as using some of their own from their micro distillery.
The Dragon's Milk is a serious beer! I am drank the 22 oz. bottle and started to feel very powerful, like a dragon. The flavor is intense. As soon as you pop the top you are in for a unique experience. I've had other bourbon barrel beers that taste more like Guinness, but Dragon's Milk is a much different deal and so much more than an ordinary stout. You can really savor the carmel and vanilla undertones and the aroma is more of a whiskey bottle than a beer bottle. And at 10% you better bring your lunch.
New Holland Brewing has been around since 1997 and has been upping their production every year! They have a very unique and independent brewing style and mantre. When asked how they compare or what sets them apart from other craft breweries, Brew Master Hagerty said, 'I'm not sure, I don't follow what the other guys are doing." I think that sums it up. They don't care what other people are doing, they are only passionate about making original and craft beers.
Check out their many other interesting beers like the Charkoota Rye Smoked Doppelbock or the Night Tripper. You can find out more information about their High Gravity series, Cellar series, Pub brews and mainstays on their website.
